She was born January 3, 1939, in Johnson City, Tenn. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN, and was a graduate of East Tennessee State University and received her degree there. She worked for Social Security Administration in Johnson City, TN, for a period of time.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Glester Harvey and Lannie Morris Harvey.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Osborne; two grandsons, Scott Osborne and Chase Osbrone, of Bristol, TN; a brother, Glester Harvey Jr., of Johnson City, TN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 17, 2008, at 2:00 PM in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel.
